Director of Bands at Verrado High School, she leads a wide range of ensembles and courses and has served as auditorium manager for two decades. Tracy holds degrees in Secondary Music Education and Educational Leadership and has earned numerous honors, including Yamaha’s “40 Under 40,” a Grammy Music Educator nomination, and KTAR’s Teacher of the Month. Her ensembles have performed at prestigious events around the world. Outside of education, she maintains an active performance career as the lead Herald Trumpet player at the Arizona Renaissance Festival. Tracy is most proud of blending her love of music and family—her daughter is now in her fourth year of colorguard, and her husband composes for the marching band. One of Tracy’s greatest joys has been bringing her love of band and her love of family together.
